Rules
No cheating!
We want to know what you know, not what the Internet tells you is true.No shouting out the answers
If you see someone doing this who isn’t playing, invite them to form a team of their own if they are so smart.Your host doesn’t make the questions, but they do make the rules
If you have an issue with a question let us know here and the correct person will be flogged.
Team Size
We have a very strict team size limit. Your team is allowed to have up to 35 players.
Yup, you read that right… only 35 players. Try not to go over.
If you have any questions about how the game is played, don’t hesitate to ask your host. That’s what they’re there for.

Game Play
Bridgetown Trivia game play consists of 5 standard rounds of questions with 4 funtime rounds in between. Standard round questions increase in difficulty (and point value) during each round from 1 to 10 points. There is no risk for incorrect answers for these first 10 questions.
At the end of each standard round is a bonus question that uses a wager system. A wager prompt will appear on the screen, complete with a slider. You may choose any value from 0 to 10. Your team will either have those points added to your score if you get it right, or subtracted if you are incorrect.
In between rounds, additional visual “funtime round” appear on your screen, with varying formats (See below).
Between round 3 & 4 there will be a Music Round, lead by the host.
Funtime Rounds
The funtime rounds come in multiple different different forms. Examples include:
Puzzle Round: Usually some sort of riddle or game that has to be worked out.
Choose 10 – choose the 10 correct, qualifying answers from 20 possibilities.
Matching – two carousels turn, and you match each card with it’s mate, eliminating possibilities as you go.
Picture Round: Identify 10 pictures based on a theme. (e.g. Name the PBS television show!; Name the city that the character in the image is from! etc.)
Fill In the Blank Round: Exactly what it sounds like (Think “Mad Libs”, but simpler).
Music Round: Identify the title and artist for 10 different songs and then, as a bonus, the theme of all 10 songs.
Scoring
Question rounds: Question 1 is worth 1 point, question 2 is worth 2 points, etc. This means that each question round has a maximum score of 55 points. Go ahead. Do the math—we’ll wait.
Incorrect answers: If you have no idea what the correct answer is, take a guess anyway. Incorrect guesses can’t hurt you in the first 10 questions of a round. In fact, we often give small amount of extra points for funny answers (See Below)!
Bonus question: If you get the bonus question correct, then we add the points you wagered to your score. But, if you get the bonus question wrong, then the wager is subtracted from your score. (This is the only time that you can lose points.)
Funtime rounds: A perfect score on any of the funtime rounds is usually 20 points. This means that if there are 10 pictures or 10 fill-in-the-blanks, then each one is worth 2 points.
Bonus points: Hosts have the discretion of handing out bonus points as they see fit. For example, making your host laugh at your deliberately silly guesses has been known to gain you bonus points.
Note: Since hosts can give bonus points with impunity, they are closely monitored, and therefore a rare commodity. Don’t expect them, and fish for them at the peril of being called out publicly. Just another free service we offer….
